Jonathan Koppenhaver, reconocido peleador de artes marciales mixtas, fue condenado tras agredir a su expareja, la actriz porno Christine Mackinday, a la que agredió, torturó y atacó sexualmente.
El peleador de 35 años, conocido en la industria como "War Machine" y que ante el juzgado se había mostrado profundamente arrepentido por sus daños. "No hay un día que pase en el que sinceramente me arrepienta de lo que hice", aseguró.

Sin embargo, el Tribunal de distrito del Condado Clark en Nevada lo consideró culpable de 29 cargos, entre los que se encuentran el secuestro, ataque sexual, tortura, e intento de asesinato de la actriz porno, a la que abordó en su casa tras una ruptura y mientras se encontraba con su novio.
Tanto Mackinday como su novio fueron agredidos brutalmente por "War Machine" durante dos horas y terminaron con serios daños físicos y psicológicos.
